so it's getting fixed

no not the dog.. he already got that.

my truck. $8000 in damage and a twisted frame later.

the insurance company seems to feel that it's ok to be fixed.

great, here comes the problems.

i fucking hate insurance companies.

they have had my truck for 2 weeks and finally after me calling them for the last three days i have an answer.

i can only hope that it gets fixed faster now that they have the ok to move forward.

and i was a preferred customer. yeah right.

scammers

ebay sucks.

i have been absent from the whole ebay thing for a while and last night it got me again. this time i didn't lose money, only a hope.

i have been looking for a new car/truck (new to me) and i figured that i could see what was available on ebay and maybe bid on one or "buy it now"

but once again a bunch of scam artists have gotten into peoples accounts and made false auctions for cars that are priced way, and I mean way below their value.

1957 Chevy Beal Air, totally decked out with new motor, tranny, interior, and everything else for $6000...? yeah right.

especially since other were going for $26000.

it is sad that shit like that happens.

but i have lost all interest in ebay once again.

but i so badly want to use it to sell some stuff.....

decisions, decisions..

fight the fight

so the latest word from the insurance company is that the frame is bent.

actually the body shop told me that the frame is "twisted really, really bad"

oh, and that now in this time that does not mean that it is totalled automatically.

anyone explain that? shit the frame is twisted really bad and it is not totalled??

they were telling me how they could replace the frame...Ha!

can you picture the frame of your car/truck coming out and being replaced....?

seems like an awful lot of work to be done.

so this should be an interesting fight with the insurance company now.

i have a feeling that they are going to push to fix the frame. i am pushing as hard to total the truck.

any one know a good lawyer?

miserable

i am in a lousy mood today.

ok, i am down right fucking miserable.

i have a feeling that most of you will follow me on this one if you have ever been second guessed by your lame ass bosses.

it's so funny to watch my genius boss come in and feel that HE will be able to fix all of the problems, ignore all of us telling him that it's under control, make the same phone calls that we did, and find nothing.

stupid rat bastard. after 10 years in this business you would have thought that i would have learned to get out of it.

distribution sucks.

and so does my boss.....

but tomorrow is a different day, i think i'll take it off.

blame

this gets me everytime.

blame. blame on kodak.

kodak has been in our town for a very long time. since it first started it has been here. now it's harldy here and moving out more and more each and every year.

and they keep getting blamed for more and more in this town.

but why should kodak be the safety net for the city?

why didn't other manufactures come in and set up shop as a safety net? how come the city officals didn't become pro-active and make sure if kodak, or xerox, or bausch and lomb ever went out there would be something for people to hopefully fall into.

all three of those did that. crapped right out, but kodak keeps getting bashed.

can you blame companies for moving to mexico, or india (like dell) or china?

ny drives companies out of this state. taxes, fines, bs regulations..plus all of the enviroment nut jobs seem to get most companies all twisted up and so freakin messed up.

dell just announced that they are going to hire 5000 workers...great!

but in india.

plus a new factory is going up, great!!

again in india.

imagine customer service now with them. it sucks now as it is, but it will be awful once that kicks in.

so, back to what i was saying. if you could produce a product here in the usa for lets say $10. and someone else can make it for $3.00, plus sells it for less than you cost..

what do you do?

look for better manufacturing techniques? sure, look over seas.

that is where it is. my company does it all of the time.

we have to do it. nothing is really produced here in the us. some is, but there will be a counter for it soon, and a better cost.

how can one buy a bearing, made of steel for less thatn a pack of gum?

how can most us manufacturing companies sell product to the chineese for a great cost, and then have them basically cpoy it, manufacture it, and sell it back at a lower cost than we can buy it for here in the us.

it's sad, but it is life.

have you looked at new car prices lately?

scarry. scarry to think that one day we just might be an importer.

brake repair = accident?

so, two days ago my wife got into an little crash.

well kind of a big one. she was traveling along down the road and the truck slid out on her.

smacked the wall three times and anothe truck.

thankfully no injuries, just a busted truck.

she was actually upset more for the damage to my truck than anything else.

so now we got a little easter egg rental car to drive (way way too small for my liking) but what can you do for $30 a day that your insurance co covers..?

now there is a little more to this. the brakes just got fixed at the local ford dealership.

there was a problem with a valve on the brakes that made them lock up. i had it happen to me a few times and brought it in.

they found a problem and fixed it.

but now my wife told me that the brakes locked up on her when she went to slow down for another car.

maybe that spun her?

i could see a new truck on ford coming?

but maybe not.

there is a lot of damage.

i need to post pictures.
